Privacy policy
Last updated October 16, 2026
ShopTidy (“the app”, “we”) helps Shopify merchants keep collections tidy, plan restocks and review product age. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your choices.
Information we access
When you install ShopTidy, we access the following through the Shopify Admin API:
- Products and variants: titles, vendor, product type, tags, status, publish dates, SKU, barcode, price and selected options.
- Inventory: tracked status, available quantities by location, inventory policy and unit cost.
- Collections: titles, sort order and product positions.
- Locations: names and IDs, used for location filters.
- Orders (last 60 days): order ID, processed date, cancellation status, and for each line item its ID, product, variant and current quantity. Used to compute units sold per day and last sale dates.
- Your shop’s domain and an access token issued by Shopify to operate the app.
ShopTidy does not read customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, payment details or any other personal information about your customers. Order webhooks deliver only the order ID.
How we use information
- To reorder collections so sold-out products appear last, when you turn this on.
- To list low-stock variants and generate restock CSV files you request.
- To build the listing age and no-recent-sales reports, apply clearance tags you request, and remove those tags when a tagged product sells again.
- To calculate reorder points and days of cover from your sales.
- To determine your subscription plan through Shopify billing.
We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below.
Storage and service providers
Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) and the app is hosted on Vercel, both in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by these providers.
Retention and deletion
- When you uninstall ShopTidy, your shop’s data is deleted within 48 hours.
- When Shopify sends a shop data erasure request (shop/redact), all data for your shop is deleted immediately.
- Because we store no customer data, customer data requests return no data.
Your rights
You can request access to or deletion of your shop’s data at any time by contacting us. Merchants and their customers in the EEA, UK and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA; we honor these requests.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
